Salary $48,942.48 - $55,662.83 annually, plus an Isolation Allowance of $38.87 bi-weekly

The North Island Central Coast Natural Resource District is recognized for its leading role in managing the landbase. This position will offer an experience that will assist you in personal and career growth by providing you diverse and challenging work assignments. As the Resource Technologist, you review, process and issue various tenures, permits and agreements, conduct contract and project administration, and perform technical duties that support natural resource planning and management. Applying your working knowledge of technical resource management (including timber tenure administration, silviculture, forest Health, ecosystem restoration, engineering, inventory), you conduct a variety of technical activities including field measurement, field and office reviews, documentation preparation and report development.
A skilled communicator with a collaborative approach, you establish strong working relationships with external stakeholders, ministry staff and staff in agencies and other ministries. Organized and results oriented, you enjoy the challenge of applying your technical forestry management skills and making innovative decisions in a positive team environment. The successful applicant has the demonstrated ability to collect and analyze field data and to maintain accurate records.
