JOB SUMMARY
The Employment Program develops, implements, monitors and evaluates training plans in a variety of work settings designed to meet a job seeker’s vocational, social and daily living goals.
Qualifications & Experience:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Education in Business, Marketing, and/or Public Relations;
• Completion of CRADACL Introduction to Human Services training.
• 6 – 12 month’s prior job related experience working in career services.
• 3 - 6 month’s prior job related experience working with people with
intellectual and/or physical disabilities.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills.
• Experience in business applications, and professional marketing skills.
• Ability to problem solve with participants as well as determine their needs and wants.
• Ability to deal effectively with stressful situations and to remain calm in difficult situations while ensuring everyone is treated with respect and dignity.
• Ability to work as a productive and interactive team member.
• Knowledge of teaching strategies and assessment techniques.
• Knowledge of WorkSafe BC Regulations & Employment Standards.
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a variety of work situations.
• Self-motivated and high energy individual with knowledge of community resources and employment opportunities.
• Basic computer skills including word processing.
