This opening is for a temporary position and is needed ASAP. Successful candidate may apply for a permanent position with the company.
Work hours are from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, for 40 hours a week.
The Executive Administrative Assistant works at the head office in Campbell River and provides support and assistance to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), office staff, and visitors through daily office administration and clerical activities, including:
- Managing the switchboard by answering, screening, and redirecting phone calls as required;
- Coordinating the COO’s schedule and agenda;
- Arranging travel, hotel, car rentals for staff and preparing the appropriate itineraries;
- Assisting with the organization of meetings and/or special events; and
- Greeting and welcoming visitors and guests, while promoting a positive and professional working environment
Special requirements:
- Pre-requisites to hiring are a criminal record check.
- Only applicants who are legally allowed to work in Canada will be considered.
Qualifications & Experience:
Application requirements include:
- Grade 12 education or higher. Preference will be given to candidates with a certificate in Office Administration.
- Solid organizational skills.
- Strong time management and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Must be friendly, personable, and able to build harmonious work relationships with various clienteles.
- Proficiency in computer operations, particularly MS Word and MS Excel.
- Must be legal to work in Canada at the time of application.
