Upper Island Women of Native Ancestry (UIWONA) has been actively involved in the community since 1991 to be a channel of communication between women of Native Ancestry and other organizations; to bring programs and services to the Aboriginal community; and to work with other registered charities on needs such as education, parental support, and employment
Responsibilities:
-Provide regular supervision
-Facilitate team meetings
-Recruit, train and evaluate staff
-Conduct new employee orientation
-Set and monitor staff schedules and approve time sheets
-Consult with E.D. and program coordinators in all areas of Human Resources
-Collect ongoing data regarding employee satisfaction
-Administer and keep compensation and benefits packages up to date
-Assure cheque requisitions are accurate
-Conduct staff trainings, when required
-Analyze HR process and provide recommendations
Qualifications & Experience:
Requirements:
-Related degree or diploma
-Minimum 4 years of strong supervisory experience
-Sound knowledge of Human Resource policies human resource generalist experience
-Operating knowledge of MS Office
-Criminal Record Check required upon acceptance of position
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-Strong cross-cultural skills to work in an Aboriginal environment
