Details:
- Provides treatment planning, crisis intervention, assessment and referral.
- Reporting and record keeping.
- Positive and supportive team member.
- Regular one week rotation carrying on-call crisis line phone.
- Sound knowledge of First Nations healing in group and individual coaching.
- Includes: conflict resolution, trauma work, communication skills, grief and loss, medical aspects of pharmacology, withdrawal management.
- Twelve steps in recover and relapse prevention.
- Addiction services with group facilitation and individual counselling knowledge in policy development and accreditation standards.
- Understand and adhere to professional ethics and boundaries.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum Grade 12 or GED equivalent
- Recognized Certified Addictions Counselor
- Demonstrate competency with basic computer skills
- Clear and direct written/oral communication skills
- Basic First Aid Certification.
- Valid BC Drivers licence preferably with Class 4.
- Clean and Sober minimum 3 years and have a recent Criminal Record Check.
