Salary: $59,510.74 - $74,328.68 annually

There is one position available and the successful candidate can work from either the Port McNeill or the Campbell River BC Timber Sales office.
Isolation Allowance for Port McNeill is $37.87 bi-weekly
An exciting opportunity for you to apply your resource management skills by being the lead on Ecosystem-Based Management for the Coastal Business Areas within BC Timber Sales (BCTS).
As the BCTSEBM Coordinator you will provide technical as well as operational support for all aspects of Ecosystem-Based Management (EBM) implementation. You will be the primary point of contact for BCTS, our industry counterparts in the Coast Forest Conservation Initiative (CFCI), the environmental groups in Rainforest Solutions Project, Coastal First Nations and Nanwakolas. You will participate, and provide leadership, on various aspects of EBM among other things the development of the new set of land use orders and overseeing the implementation at the Business Area level.
A skilled communicator with a collaborative approach, you establish strong working relationships with industry counterparts, environmental groups, first nations, ministry staff, other agencies and clients. You are skilled in interpreting, developing and following process and have a good understanding of risk and risk management. While able to work independently, you are a team player first providing support to achieve program goals. You have excellent interpersonal skills and possess the ability to lead diverse teams. The position represents BCTS interests at high profile meetings with industry, environmental groups and First Nations as well as other branches of FLNRO and other Ministries. In addition, you are organized and can prioritize a demanding workload to ensure that time is used effectively to achieve timely outcome.

Qualifications & Experience:
In order for applicants to be considered for this position, their resume must clearly demonstrate that they have the following:
Bachelor of Science in Forestry or Natural Resource Management specializing in forestry; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as accepted for professional registration.
Registered as a Professional Forester with the Association of BC Forest Professionals (ABCFP).
Three (3) years directly related experience with Ecosystem-Based Management (EBM).
Experience in facilitating the development of land and resource management plans with multi-stakeholder groups.
