Qualifications & Experience:
Family located on Vancouver Island is seeking an Estate Manager/Butler to assist with the management of personal assets including Aviation, private family resort, yacht, and personal homes on the Island as well as in Cabo, Mexico. This role will liaise between the managers of the personal assets and the family.
Some responsibilities include trip planning, catering, stocking, cleaning, scheduling and monitoring the state of readiness of the aviation department. The yacht will require managing staffing, provisioning and meal planning as well as coordination of trip planning. The yacht is moored off the coast of Costa Rica. The private resort on an island off the coast of Vancouver Island will require confirming expectations concerning food, service and activities with the resort manager. The resort is in operation from May to September. The personal homes on the Island as well as in Cabo will require opening and closing duties, managing personal car maintenance, managing annual servicing on mechanical systems and yards. As well this role will be responsible for making appointments, reservations and obtaining tickets when required.
This role will require someone who has good social and people management skills. The successful candidate will have proven problem solving and ‘get it done’ attitude—very ‘hands-on’ and ready to pitch in. As well, the candidate will be very resourceful, quickly learn the how and where to get things done in the local area. Negotiating and supervisory skills for outside contractors and other staff is required.
The right person for this role will be adaptable to the standards and desires of the family. Ability to travel within Canada, US, Mexico and Central America is a must. Ability to speak Spanish would be an asset.
