The Ministry of Aboriginal Relations and Reconciliation (MARR) is the primary source of leadership to the Province in structuring its relationship with First Nations based upon mutual respect, recognition and reconciliation of aboriginal rights and title. MARR is mandated with primary responsibility for the development and implementation of treaties and representing the interests of the Province and its citizens in the development and negotiation of comprehensive land claims settlements, revenue sharing, reconciliation and other forms of agreements. The ministry is central to the government’s vision of creating sustainable aboriginal communities through strategies including closing the socio-economic gap, cultural recognition, economic development and the negotiation of treaties and other forms of lasting agreements.
As the Regional Executive Administrator, you coordinate regional administrative services, and provide executive coordination of information, issues and communication for the Regional Director. Your diplomatic approach to communication and excellent interpersonal skills ensure that complex, sensitive and urgent matters are handled professionally when working with internal and external stakeholders. Knowledgeable of corporate processes and policies, you skilfully resolve expenditure and administrative concerns as well as payroll and human resources functions. Qualifications & Experience:
In order for applicants to be considered for this position, their resume must clearly demonstrate that they have the following education and experience:
- Prefer a degree or diploma in business administration, financial management or public administration or the equivalent combination of related training and experience.
- A minimum of four years in a senior administrative role with experience in providing services to various levels of government, industry, public and First Nations.
- Demonstrated experience working productively and cooperatively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in financial management.
- Experience/training in keyboarding, and word processing, spreadsheet and other standard computer applications.
- Experience dealing with cash transactions and in providing services to various levels of government, industry, public and private organizations.
- Experience working with on-line computer systems both entering and explaining data.
- Demonstrated experience working well with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
