Coastal Community Insurance Services (2007) Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Coastal Community Credit Union, is seeking an innovative and motivated team player to fill the position of Insurance Agency Manager. This position is located in the coastal city of Campbell River on the east coast of Vancouver Island in beautiful British Columbia.
Reporting to the Regional Insurance Manager, the Agency Manager is directly responsible for all positions and functions within the agency relating to ICBC and general insurance.
Key responsibilities for an Agency Manager at Coastal include:
• Ensures that Agency operations are completed effectively and accurately in all areas of responsibility.
• Oversee staff on all operational issues including sales and service, product and suppliers, and audit & compliance
• Grow and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders and clients
• Provide direct reports with coaching, training and opportunities for growth and skill development
• Produce and analyze statistical reports to assist in the development of the annual operating plan and budget
• Communicate on operational issues, compliance and licensing with direct reports and upper management
• Identify, develop and enhance sales and service opportunities
• Recommend and initiate plans to improve portfolio growth within an ever changing environment

Qualifications & Experience:
Skills, qualifications and experience needed for an Agency Manager at Coastal:
• Secondary School diploma
• Eligible for a Level 3 General Agent License
• 7 years of insurance industry experience
• A Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) or Canadian Insurance Professional (CIP) designation is an asset
• Management educational courses or experience for one year or more is an asset
