Details:
We are looking for a Registered Forestry professional who is interested in educating young adults about the forest we live in, and preparing them to work in the forestry industry. Students participate in classroom and field activities involving safety, forestry essential skills, wildfire fighting, coastal harvesting equipment and practices, mapping, orienteering, forest ecology and more. As the lead instructor you would be involved in all aspects of student training and supervision. This position would commence in late summer and carry on until mid December.
Qualifications & Experience:
Registered Forestry Professional with two years instructional experience;
Successful experience instructing adults at a post-secondary level; a minimum of one year is preferred;
Completion of the Provincial Instructors Diploma program is preferred - candidates currently undertaking this training may be considered
