Details:
The Boatyard Parts Purchaser would be responsible for sourcing, purchasing and coordinating marine parts for use in the repair and maintenance of both recreational and commercial vessels. The purchaser would work directly with the boatyard management team to ensure parts needed for upcoming projects are available and on site in time for work to begin. The purchaser would follow company procedures to obtain product quotes, produce purchase orders and verify the accuracy of orders with the Shipper/Receiver. The purchaser would also maintain computerized procurement records in our Inventory Management Software. The purchaser must be able to work in a high paced environment while managing their time to meet deadlines.
Compensation: Hourly with Medical and Dental benefits.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum Requirements:
Experience in the procurement of marine parts is required.
Experienced with engine parts is required.
Proven experience with the use of software applications related to sales, shipping/receiving and inventory control.
Organizational & clerical skills required.
Class 5 driver’s license required.
Customer service skills required.
