Details:
Ability to collaborate and work effectively as a member of an inter-professional team. Strong oral communication and organizational and documentation skills. Ability to provide calm, healthy, responsive relationship with the child and to establish and maintain supportive, collaborative relationships with the families and child care setting staff. Able to work independently and efficiently with the minimum supervision. Ability to maintain confidentiality and maintain a positive, professional, non-judgement attitude. Must be physically fit, willing and able to meet all physical demands of the position. 4 hours per week: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 to 4:30 while providing support within an after school setting.
Qualifications & Experience:
Must be an early Childhood educator with current BC Licence to practice as an early Childhood educator. Three years' experience working in an inclusive childcare setting. Preference may be given to an early Childhood Education Special Educator with current BC licence to practice as an Early Childhood Education Special Educator. Current Criminal Record Checks, physician's approval, TB test results, First Aid and CPR required as per Association policy.
