Details:
Develop and administer programs that meet the needs of the urban aboriginal community
Provide individual or group supports through various methods of delivery
Provide opportunities for community members to access increased capacity building exercises
Provide space for educational opportunities that promote healthy lifestyle alternatives, promote cross-generational interactions, cultural revitalization, increase coping skills, etc.
Network/collaborate with local agencies to bridge service gaps and/or enhance existing services
Participate as part of the team to coordinate community wide events
Qualifications & Experience:
Undergraduate’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Child and Youth Care or similar relevant school of thought. Minimum of 3 years of experience with strong references.
Strong understanding of First Nations history and the impacts on families at all levels (socially, spiritually, physically, emotionally and mentally)
Class 5 driver’s license, Current First Aid, Conflict Resolution
