The Infant Development Program at the North Island Crisis and Counselling Center is looking for a playgroup facilitator from 830am-130pm every Wednesday
(Up to 8 hours per week to be negotiated)
The ideal candidate will:
Experience working with infants and toddlers
Experience facilitating and modelling positive play and social interaction
Lead short circle and story time
Demonstrate an understanding of developmental stages of children including children with special needs
Provide a diverse range of activities to meet the appropriate needs of children in a culturally sensitive manner
A key focus of the playgroup facilitator is to assist the Program Coordinator with set up and delivery of the play group, collect and record data, and other tasks assigned by the Coordinator.
The successful candidate will display a high level of maturity, confidentiality, and be able to work within a multi-disciplinary team.
Wages: $18.00 - $19.57/hour depending on experience and training.
