CareCorp Seniors Services is a contracted services' provider to the senior care community in complex care and assisted living settings, providing services including nursing, personal care & support, recreation, professional therapies, food services, housekeeping, laundry and maintenance.
Locations: New Horizons
Responsibilities:
• Provides recreational programs that meet a diverse population of residents.
• Setup, organize equipment needed for specific program(s), and oversee residents involved by encouraging participation.
• Ability to follow safety policy and protocol in the community with residents and volunteers.
• Effective and professional communication skills with all facility departments.
• Ability to provide support to volunteers.
• Maintain inventory of department equipment.
• Report risk, hazards, near misses, unsafe situations, incidents and accidents to Therapies Manager.
• Record and discuss residents' participation levels in programs.
• Escort, transport, assist residents to programs.
• Performs other related duties as requested by manager.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Grade 12 plus completion of recognized Recreation courses plus one year of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Must be flexible with scheduling as position involves weekend and evening hours.
