Details:
Instruct all courses in the Health Care Assistant program within the guidelines and using the curriculum provided by the College. This program is offered over 39 weeks in four modules of classroom learning plus a fifth module of two different practice experiences.
Instructors must support the College’s mission statement and objectives in the learning and teaching environment. Instructors should be caring and supportive with excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

WORK SCHEDULE:
This is a part time position approximately 20 hours per week.
Present schedule: Monday & Tuesday – 8:30am to 5:00pm, Wednesday – 8:30am to 12:30pm.
(Teaching schedules may vary and applicants should be available to teach days, evenings, and weekends.)

Qualifications & Experience:
Applicants must have:
• Current full registration with the CLPNBC, CRNBC, or CRPNBC
o Non-practising registration is acceptable for theory courses only
• Demonstrated ability to teach adult learners
o PID or equivalent or
o Previous teaching experience with satisfactory references or
o Positive performance evaluations and student course evaluations
• Two or more years of full-time nursing experience
o One year = 1400 hours so must have 2800 hours of nursing experience
o With relevant knowledge of Canadian health care system, roles and responsibilities of healthcare team members, current policies and procedures within residential and community care settings
• Nursing experience must include working with older adults with complex health needs
• Nursing experience must include experience or orientation in home support and multi-level care
